Mercedes Pescador founded the company in 2000 after a decade working in different PR American companies and as a journalist for some Spanish newspapers. One day, she asked herself a key question: Why not creating a Spanish independent and innovate PR Company providing outstanding service to clients from all fields? She gave herself a "yes" and following her confidence and enthusiasm, little by little other professionals joined the team. Together, they develop communication campaigns with relevant impact.
Medialuna's team believes in values that are considered our own as they have been chosen during participative internal meetings with the involvement and contribution of all team members: Responsibility, initiative, commitment, loyalty, and respect. We follow these values on a daily basis with clients, media, providers and collaborators. They match our motto: Freedom to Create, Confidence to Believe.

I have a degree in Journalism and also in Political Science by the Complutense University of Madrid. I started my professional carrier as a journalist in papers as ALERTA from my town Santander, Diario Montañés and LANZA. I will never forget how that first experiences doing interviews, participanting in relevants events and knowing vip people helped me to understand the value of the corporate communication.
I set up Medialuna in 2000 after ten years working as a journalist in different Spanish paper and in american PR firms as Edelman Public Relations and Burson Marsteller and in companies as Endesa and Gas Natural. I have a master in Business Communication and I more important than anything I mantain today same illusion than then in the beginning with my company and my team.
In 2007 I founded the publisher company LoQueNoEciste with the main objective of launching book to generate social debate with the collaboration of Medialuna. Both companies, Medialuna and the publisher LoQueNoEXiste work together creating and delivering knowledge in social important matters.
I have a Law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master degree in Tax Law. I joined Medialuna in 2005, in a stage of tremendous growth in Spain, in which we were about to reach full employment in the Community of Madrid. I have been working for more than a decade in the Administration, Finance and Human Resources department of the Agency where I have seen evolved a generation of creative, journalists, designers, audio producers and executives. I like this area and I have always believed in the potential of Medialuna, precisely because of the ability and talent of its team.
Before working at Medialuna, I was an intern in the legal department of the National Company Bazán Navy Military Constructions (Factoría Naval de Ferrol) and worked in the Financial Departments of multinational companies such as Iberfrío Carrier, Retail Operating Company ESSO. I also had the opportunity to manage the Financial Departments of Impala Transport International and Publishing Group Plana. During my career I've seen some businesses to be closed for many reasons and all of this experience has helped me to work in Medialuna, providing my administrative and financial logic. I have always believed that good management is synonymous with love customers, sense of prudence and business vision.
I have a Journalism degree, as well as a Master degree in Financial Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid. I also took a course on Program for Management Development (PMD) at the ESADE Business School. I first started working in financial newspapers and magazines until 2003 when I joined Medialuna. Thenceforth, I kept on developing and carrying out consultancy duties and public relations programs in the field of corporate, financial and marketing range for national and international companies. Before joining Medialuna I had worked as journalist in the magazines Mi Cartera and Dinero, as well as in the Diario de Burgos newspaper. That experience as a journalist helped me in the beginning to understand the role and functioning of mass media work, as well as to focus themes, suggest ideas and establish communication criteria.
If I had to point out one communication campaign that I remember with special fondness, it would be the one managed back in 2006 for the Ministry of Agriculture, explaining ‘The new labelling for eggs’. I led a team of fifteen people in Medialuna and we succeeded to carry out an informative tour through sixty cities with public promotions, press and radio advertising, direct marketing, and relationships with journalists. After that campaign, many others came. Admittedly, I have not stopped working and leading campaigns at Medialuna. Could it be that I truly love Communication?
I have a Journalism degree by the Miguel de Cervantes European University with a pretty clear goal: to be a versatile communicator. I knew it was not going to be an easy task but I like challenges. Thanks to my constancy on daily work I have been able to work in many ways in relation with communication.
My professional career began in Sports section of Diario Palentino, and then I moved to the microphones of RTVCyL. To be the best communicator, I have to learn every day and that is the reason why I moved to EFE Agency. Also, I got involved in my own website and to manage two blogs of varying theme which I update constantly.
Since I am a member of the Medialuna team I am immersed in the whole aspects of internal communication tasks, making traditional press office, running events and developing projects to get the best result.
I have a Journalism degree by the Complutense University of Madrid and, though I’ve developed part of my career in the area of business administration, my interests and projects have always revolved around communication and the publishing sector. I’ve worked together with European and American authors in the edition, translation and promotion of their work, developing websites and book marketing plans. I also have experience in creation and management of online communities dedicated to reading and writing.
In the common ground between LoQueNoExiste and Medialuna I have found a perfect environment where I can contribute the best of my knowledge, experience and passion. Reviewing and selecting manuscripts, working with the authors along the publishing process and overviewing the design, production and distribution of every book are some of the tasks I carry out in LoQueNoExiste. In Medialuna, I collaborate in the launching of new titles, planning promotion and PR campaigns and managing book presentations, interviews and author appearances in the media.
As the saying goes, sometimes the whole is bigger than the sum of the parts and that, in my experience, is certainly the case here. Working together, LoQueNoExiste and Medialuna create something greater than the sum of both, and being a part of this project I see the truth of it every day.

I have a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid and Master in Digital Marketing at EUDE Business School. After my first steps as a journalist in a public broadcast radio and specialized magazines, I was conquered by the magic of Corporate Communication. Through different positions and duties in private companies, non-profit organizations, agencies and also as an independent consultant, I have been growing up to build my profile as a 360 Communications professional. This background developing communications and marketing strategies, focussed both, on corporate and sales objectives, attending the media, organizing events and developing contents, allows me to provide wide expertise and a multidisciplinary approach to choose the most appropriate messages, channels and audiences to achieve the goal in every project. Always curious, I like the well-done things and controlled improvisation. I feel deeply committed to Responsible Communication and I know that a well-led team is the most powerful asset to overcome successfully any challenge.
